Drum Delay With Unprecedented Control.

Magnetic drum echoes are famous for their warmth and for their harmonically rich and saturated sounds. This is due in large part to the many tube stages present in the most sought-after units. There were tubes in the input buffer, the signal mixer, the record and playback amplifiers, the tone shaping circuit, and the output mixing circuit.

Every sonic aspect of our favorite drum echoes has been meticulously reproduced within Volante. Dial in any possible sound from the full range of the best vintage drum echo units in conditions ranging from fresh-from-factory to road-worn classic.

Classic Tape Echo Experience.

Volante gives you superbly crafted multi-head tape echoes, including the smooth tape saturation and the characteristic imperfections and nonlinearities inherent to the sound of those vintage machines.

Mechanical alignment, head wear, and tape crinkles, splices, and contaminants are all accounted for in Volante, giving you all the richness and complexity of a classic tape echo, with modern control and stability. Volante also allows you to recreate the irregular head spacing of some of the classic tape echo machines.

True Studio Tape Sound.

The professional reel-to-reel machines of the 50s and 60s were high-fidelity units built to accurately reproduce full-range audio signals. In the hands of creative engineers, these machines also doubled as some of the earliest studio effects, producing some of the fattest sounds imaginable.

Of Volante’s three magnetic echo types, the Studio Echo provides the cleanest sound, able to sustain the highest number of repeats with minimal degradation. Volante gives you a pristine studio delay with the full-bodied warmth and fidelity of reel-to-reel tape.

Completely Analog Dry Path.

In a typical digital effect the dry signal gets converted to digital, causing conversion noise and latency. Signals are often attenuated before combining digital dry and wet, with makeup gain amplifying the conversion noise. To avoid this, we’ve equipped Volante with a completely analog dry path, featuring all-analog, ultra low noise, discrete, class-A stereo JFET preamps. Volante is truly a studio-quality effect.

Insanely Powerful DSP.

We’ve outfitted Volante with the incredibly powerful Analog Devices SHARC ADSP-21375 processor, which provides a 266 MHz core instruction rate, and an incredible 1.596 Gigaflops of peak performance. Thanks to this high-powered technology platform within Volante, we had the freedom to craft our processor-intense echo algorithms without compromise.

What if my package gets lost in transit?

Though we successfully ship thousands of packages a year, sometimes shipments don't always go as planned. In the event your package is lost in transit, please email sales@prymaxe.com explaining the situation. We will open a case with the shipping company to try to locate your package. If 30 business days have passed (90 business days for international customers) and your package is still lost, we will issue you a Prymaxe Digital Gift Card for the original purchase price.

What if my package gets stolen?

If your tracking number states your order has been delivered but your product is no where to be found you must immediately call your local police department and open an investigation. We will do our best to help but ultimately we are not responsible if this does occur.

This helps both us and the customer save time and money. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 45 days of the original purchase date for a store credit refund, or within 14 days of the original purchase date for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). If an item is not received by us within the 45-day window, the package will be refused. All new items returned must be in BRAND NEW condition with zero signs of wear or use and must be returned in the original packaging with ALL materials (free/bundled items -- must be unused/unopened, warranty cards, plastic, pouches, manuals etc.).

Our 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee covers brand new products only -- it does not cover used and clearance products (see below). It also does not cover items in the “What is NOT Returnable” list below. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund along with a 10% restocking fee. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. Used and Vintage:

All Used and Vintage items come with a 48 hour approval period. Please contact us directly at sales@prymaxe.com within 48 hours of receiving your product for us to set up a manual return for you. Be sure to include your order number and reason for return in the email. All Used/Vintage items must be returned in the same condition they were sent to you in, as well as include all materials that came with it.

What is NOT Returnable:
- Accessories (this includes all pickups, strings, picks, pedalboards, tuners, etc.)
- Clearance Items (Clearance items are clearly marked with "CLEARANCE" in the title -- INCLUDING "DEMO CLEARANCE" OR "GENTLY USED CLEARANCE")

Return Instructions:

All returns should be insured by the buyer and sent via UPS, Fedex, or USPS with tracking. Please do not write on or attach tape or labels to the product box (these will be refused) -- use a packing box to return the product. Attach a shipping label with the RMA number onto the shipping box. Packages without a valid RMA number on the outside of the box will be refused.

FAQ

When will I get my refund?

Once your return is received by us, your refund will typically be processed within 10-15 business days. It typically takes a few business days for all credit card refunds to be processed and reflected on your statement. This means it will take a few extra days for your refund to show in your account after your return is processed. Store credit refunds will be given in the form of a e-gift card which will be available for immediate use after it is emailed to you. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. Return shipping must be paid by the buyer. If you received a defective or incorrect item, please see the next question.

What if I receive a defective or incorrect item?

If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, all the shipping fees will be covered by us and we will send you a replacement once the original item is received. If for any reason a replacement wont be available for a significant amount of time, we will issue you a store credit to use on another item. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.

Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways and charge a 20% restocking fee.

When must I ship my return?

Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date for store credit, or postmarked by 14 days for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within the deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.

What if I pre-ordered an item?

If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.

Why was my package refused?

There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
- It was a new/demo item received outside of the 45-day window
- It was a clearance, accessory, or other non-returnable item
- The package is missing items that were included in the original shipment
- The item shows signs of wear
- The original product box was damaged or written on/the item was packaged in a separate shipping box

Just an amazingly featured and quality designed delay, the best tape type delay you are going to ...

I had a Capstan and loved it, like a dummy I sold it off for my last multi do it all pedal, not, got the Volante as it can do all that and so much more. I use mine just as a fantastic tape delay using just one head sometimes additional feedback head. By rolling off the highs and lows it is just outstanding, the best tape type delay you are going to find. Strymon is just the best, top shelf of the top shelf.

WOW!

I had been flirting with purchasing the Volante since it came out. Finally pulled the trigger and wow, what a fantastic pedal! Very intuitive and easy to dial in great delays. The spring reverb is exceptional and if you are willing to spend a little bit of time, you can do a lot with this pedal. Highly recommended!

This is the absolute Best

This is the absolute Best pedal Strymon has ever made totally knocked it out of the park and then some. Tape echo, drum delay, studio echo all sound great with awesome intuitive control power. So versatile no need to think about getting this delay or that delay been there and done that just get this one and you will love it. And thanks to guys at Prymaxe for great service and product !

Everything I wanted

I was looking at two different pedals to get tape and drum sounds. The Volante checks both boxes. While there are plenty of tweaking options, it is remarkably simple to use. As with any Strymon pedal, the quality is top notch. The tape head and feedback interface is solid and well executed. It sounds amazing. It is easy to use. It looks cool. Checks all the boxes for me. The only thing I wish I could do with it is engage the spring reverb without turning on the delay or using one of the presets for that function - which is more of a testament to how good the reverb sounds. Overall, its a top-notch sound machine.

Oh My! Finally one delay to best them all.

Just buy this thing. The Volante replaced a Dawner Prince Boonar, which also sounded really nice but died after two weeks. The Volante is what the Boonar did plus what the Cap does, plus what I used 95% of a Timeline for. I just could not bond with the Cap, gorgeous though it sounds in the studio, it was just another delay live. The Timeline is just not my delay. I had one for a while and haven't missed it once since I sold it. The Volante is instant warmth, instant mojo, instant 'it'. I can't say how magical this delay is. If you're looking for that Echorec, RE-201 fun, just buy one (from Prymaxe, off course). You can thank me later.
