Get down and dirty with the AfterShock Bass Distortion. Out of the box, this stereo pedal delivers three bass overdrive engines that span the gamut of low-end crunch, from smooth and natural overdrive to full-on fuzz attack. The Tube engine belts out a subtle, but powerful vintage tube overdrive with a smooth breakup and plenty of punch. Heavy creates an aggressive scooped sound with ample highs and thundering lows. The Fuzz engine offers intense germanium fuzz tones with loads of bottom and mucho grit. The Aftershock’s simple, yet powerful control panel provides the tools to finely sculpt the perfect bass tone. The Clean knob lets you to mix in just enough clean signal to maintain a rock-solid low-end without compromising the pedal’s SONIC GROWL. Adjust the onboard Tone control and find that thunderous sweet spot for any bass/amp combination.
By itself the AfterShock offers tremendous tonal range, but dig a little deeper and discover its hidden power and flexibility. Every pedal in the One Series line is compatible with the Neuro Desktop Editor and Mobile App (free downloads iOS, Android, Mac and Windows). Connect the AfterShock to the Neuro Editor and access its extended equalization capabilities, stereo routing options, as well as Source Audio’s free library of over 40 overdrive, fuzz, and distortion algorithms for bass AND guitar — each algorithm can be downloaded directly to the pedal. The Aftershock is also built on dual drive platforms providing the opportunity to simultaneously run two fuzz tones in parallel, stacked, or split in stereo. Plus, every One Series pedal is fully MIDI compatible when coupled with the Neuro Hub (formerly Soundblox Hub), providing the power to save up to 128 different presets.
Job one in the development of the Source Audio One Series overdrive pedals - The L.A. Lady Overdrive, Kingmaker Fuzz, and Aftershock Bass Distortion – was to create three great sounding, flexible, and easy-to-use pedals. Out of the box, that’s exactly what they are – plug ‘em in, select from the three onboard overdrive engines and make beautiful music… simple. But there is much more here than meets the eye (and ear) - the truly “Big Idea” behind our One Series overdrive pedals was to give musicians a second, far deeper, set of options and editing tools with which to craft the perfect tone. The Neuro Desktop Editor and Mobile App are free downloads for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows machines. The Neuro Editors vastly expand the tonal possibilities of the pedals, offering a huge collection of additional drive, fuzz, and distortion engines as well as an expanded set of editing parameters.

If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.
Why was my package refused?
There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
This is a great unit. It's versatile and can cover a number of different tones which can be accessed at the flick of a switch. For the money it is a killer sokuti is n for overdrive, fuzz and distortion needs!
Fellow bass players, you all know how difficult it is to get that perfect drive / distortion that you love while retaining your bass's pure clean character, and serious low end.
So far I'm loving this pedal. I bought it so that I could have 2 gain stages in one pedal. This pedal is programmable with editor software, which allows you to tweak it exactly how you like. And you can store two presets per distortion type. It's built very well, and has nice styling. I'm running this into my Kirk Hammett Abyss Bass Overdrive, and I have three diverse gain stages.
The other great thing about this pedal is the clean **** actually brings in your true clean with all the low end you wanna keep!
One thing is that it does seem to color the clean ever so slightly, which is not a problem as you can run the pedal in bypass for your true clean. But, it would be cool if it was a pure clean so that if you have a setting with just a little bit of tube drive for regular playing, you'd still get some of those clean overtones popping out on top.
All in all, this is a great pedal. It's my first Source Audio pedal. I'm curious if to see if any more for bass come out, or a mini version of this pedal.
Really dig this pedal for bass. I was concerned how convincing a digital dirt box would sound, but I am impressed. I own a lot of dirt boxes including Darkglass B3K and VMT, Aguilar Agro, MXR Bass Overdrive and Bass Fuzz, Keeley modded Rat and various Big Muff pedals. All of these pedals sound great and offer a unique tone all there own that I do not think can be 100% accurately duplicated by the Aftershock. That being said, the Aftershock pedal offers great tone in a single small box offering three presets selectable by a toggle and editable through the Neuro app on your phone. There are so many distortion, fuzz and overdrive options to choose from with tone editing options, gate and clean blend which are features not available on some the original pedals being emulated. The Aftershock also plays well with other pedal combos I’ve tried so far. This is a really awesome sounding pedal offering a ton of great tones while taking up minimal real estate on my board. Highly recommend!
With the Neuro app, there's so many possibilities that you can achieve. I had to sold my Darkglass B3K as it's too modern for me. SA Aftershock even has 3 different tones so can you imagine if I switch to Fuzz along with 2 other fuzz pedals that I have? It's heavy and crushing and my guitarist has been really impressed.
This one does it all, i'll never need another drive pedal
