The Megalith Delta high-gain distortion is a design like no other. All of the tone of the MI Amplification Megalith Beta 180W amplifier distilled down to stompbox form by none other than the designer himself. The Megalith Delta contains all of the tightness and heavy bottom-end giving you that complex and sophisticated signature Megalith tone.

Factors such as operating points, dynamic range, scaling of clipping thresholds, output impedances, and intrinsic capacitances due to things like the miller effect etc. all went into the design of the Megalith Delta. It is not a standard JFET copy of a preamp circuit, but for a design that captures the power of the Megalith Beta amplifier.”
Gain Control: The Megalith Delta starts in mid-gain territory. THIS IS A HIGH GAIN PEDAL! BACK AWAY NOW IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR THE VINTAGE BLUES TONES! The GAIN control offers a wide sweep in gain, from solid rock tones, to serious crunch, to every dark shade of brutal imaginable.
The stock, un-boosted tone is very fat in the low mids and is the Megalith’s thickest tone. This is a great mode for getting the punchiest rhythm sounds.
The GAIN control has a responsive interaction with each of the three EQ options (EQ SWITCH, CONTOUR, and THREE BAND EQ), allowing you to dial in, for example a slightly woolly tone at minimum gain, or flat-out brutality at maximum.
Gain Boost: The second footswitch of the pedal, BOOST, takes the pedal from a mid-gain base to its highest gain. This footswitch is equivalent to flicking over to the HIGH GAIN setting on the Megalith Beta amplifier. This BOOST mode not only adds more gain, but also tightens the response up considerably, with more of an upper mid emphasis.I thought by adding this gain boost as a foot switch, it gives you the option to really step up the crazy. I also figured that mid to high switching was a lot more useful than low to high, as there are already plenty of great options out there for the lower gain sounds. Let’s face it – someone interested in the Megalith Delta isn’t going to be too stressed about missing the low gain mode!
Contour Control: The CONTOUR control is another unique feature of the Megalith design. In the Megalith Beta amplifier; it affects the frequency response of the phase inverter in the power amp. I went to a lot of effort to recreate the CONTOUR control in the Megalith Delta pedal to mimic this response by designing a phase-inverter like stage, and integrating the CONTOUR control into it.Fully clock-wise, it’s fat and midrangy, with a slightly rolled off top end. As the CONTOUR control is turned down, the mids start to scoop out, and the sub-bass frequencies tighten up. This is a great control for further refinement of the overall high gain tone. You can also think of this as an alternate midrange control. Try running the MID EQ control high and the CONTOUR low (also adjusting the EQ shift), and visa versa for a huge range of tones.
Three Band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble): The combinations of the EQ section will give an impressive number of high gain sounds, just like the Megalith Beta amplifier. The first thing to note about the three-band EQ on the Megalith Delta is that each control has a wider sweep than your typical tone stack. Small changes to these controls can have a large impact on the tone. They are also highly interactive. That is why I recommend using this feature to fine-tune your overall sound. Refer to “How To Dial In Your Sound” in the manual.
EQ Shift Switch: The EQ Shift is a unique feature of the Megalith’s tone controls. This switch shifts the EQ’s bands, allowing you to control different frequencies. Each position has a particular signature tone, and is useful for different things. The middle position “0” shifts the midrange up, and adds quite a bit of low-mids to the sound. This is great for really fattening up the tone, and works particularly well with boost pedals. Position “1” voices the tone stack closer to a traditional British voicing. There’s still a good amount of midrange in the tone, but the tone is more balanced. Position “2” is more of a traditional American voicing, with a more scooped and shifted midrange.
Output (Volume) Section: A big part of the Megalith Beta amplifier’s huge gain sound is the 160 Watts of headroom! Of course, this would always be the limitation in trying to emulate a high gain amplifier to stomp box form. But by adding voltage doubling circuitry in the Megalith Delta pedal, it allows the 9V supplied by battery, or DC adaptor, to be increased to 18V within the pedal’s circuitry. This has the advantage of producing the crushing low end without mush, much like the 160W output of the Megalith Beta does at the amp level.

All orders placed during the Black Friday sale (Thursday 11/24/16 - Monday 11/28/16) will have an extended return period to 1/15/16 (the day we must receive it by) to give your giftees a chance to try out their new gear and return it if it's not for them. Please note that all other return exclusions, conditions, and terms still apply.
If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 45 days of the original purchase date for a full refund. If an item is not received by us within the 45-day window, the package will be refused. All new items returned must be in BRAND NEW condition with zero signs of wear or use and must be returned in the original packaging with ALL materials (free/bundled items -- must be unused/unopened, warranty cards, plastic, pouches, manuals etc.).

All Used and Vintage items come with a 48 hour approval period. Please contact us directly at email@example.com within 48 hours of receiving your product for us to set up a manual return for you. Be sure to include your order number and reason for return in the email. All Used/Vintage items must be returned in the same condition they were sent to you in, as well as include all materials that came with it.
All returns should be insured by the buyer and sent via UPS, Fedex, or USPS with tracking. Please do not write on or attach tape or labels to the product box -- use a packing box to return the product. Attach a shipping label with the RA number onto the shipping box.
When will I get my refund?
Once your return is received by us, your refund will typically be processed within three business days. It typically takes a few business days for all credit card refunds to be processed and reflected on your statement. This means it will take a few extra days for your refund to show in your account after your return is processed. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. Return shipping must be paid by the buyer. If you received a defective or incorrect item, please see the next question.
What if I receive a defective or incorrect item?
If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, we will send you a replacement/the correct item, and all the shipping fees will be covered by us. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.
Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways.
When will I get my replacement item?
If a defective or incorrect item was sent to you, we will send out the replacement as soon as we get the defective/incorrect item back and approve/process the return (typically within three business days). If we do not have the replacement in stock, we will issue a full refund. If you need the replacement to be sent out immediately, please place a new order, and when we get the defective/incorrect item back, we will issue a full refund of the original order.
When must I ship my return?
Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date. This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within 45 day deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
Even if you pre-ordered an item, we must still receive it within 45 days of your order date in order to give you a refund, so please only pre-order items you plan to keep. If your pre-ordered item arrives defective, you will have a 48 hour period to contact us for a replacement.
