When will I get my refund?
Once your return is received by us, your refund will typically be processed within 10-15 business days. It typically takes a few business days for all credit card refunds to be processed and reflected on your statement. This means it will take a few extra days for your refund to show in your account after your return is processed. Store credit refunds will be given in the form of a e-gift card which will be available for immediate use after it is emailed to you. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. What if I receive a defective or incorrect item?
If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, all the shipping fees will be covered by us and we will give you a store-credit refund on the original order. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.
Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways.
When must I ship my return?
Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date for store credit, or postmarked by 14 days for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within the deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.
Why was my package refused?
There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
This pedal is indescribable. Sounds amazing, you can see all the reviews that exist and yet you can not make the idea of the magnificence that is. It's a safe buy.
Don't make my mistake--EHX labels this as a 'synth engine', this doesn't mean that it functions like a normal synth pedal (such as EHX's Microsynth or EQD's Bit Commander.)
What this pedal does, is it utilized the same technology used in the Freeze Sound Retainer (also by Electroharmonix) to allow for infinite sustain. Then, unlike with the FSR, the Superego gives the user a whole range of options of what to do with that sustain--decay, glissando, layering and wet/dry mix are all controlled by easy to use ****. These functions, more so than tone, as far as I know, is why they call this pedal a synth engine--these are abilities usually considered idiomatically exclusive to analog synths. Additionally you can choose to freeze/unfreeze notes using the 'bypass' switch or set the pedal to automatically sense new pitches and retain them depending on how you have decay set.
Great pedal that does exactly what it advertises and like most EHX pedals, produces nothing but beautiful tones. Perfect if you're looking to create ambient soundscapes. Not what you want if you're looking to make your guitar sound like a synth.
For those into ambient music and who use shimmers, you will love the Superego.
Its not a shimmer. Its not your typical synth pedal. The Superego lies somewhere inbetween.
Its synth tones are somewhat tweakable with the first two ****. It can produce soft or harsh tones. The Gliss **** not only affects the sounds, but lets the sound from one chord blend into the next.
The pedal can work like the EHX Freeze on one setting by holding the button down.
It also has an auto setting that gives you your tones when playing chords or notes.
One of the best features is that you only get synth tones when hitting the strings harder. So you can hit a chord which will produce a tone and then play notes for the duration that will not produce additional synth sounds. Shimmers always produce the sounds with each note and can get really messy with too many notes or chords together.
The Superego also has loop jacks so you can add other effects that will only affect the synth sounds. With some experimentation, there is no limit to the effects you can achieve.
This is incredible pedal!!! A must for a soloist… Sustained notes using the Latch function can be so advantageous in helping you have a seamless performance. The pedal is very easy and intuitive to create cool tones on the fly!
Went to guitar clinic that was run by Jon Skibic (Afgan Wings) and he did such a super job of showing pros to beginners how to use this pedal.
In no time – a great deal of guitarists were getting into the synth “dream machine”. Then several got on their phones and ordered from the awesome people at Prymaxe Vintage.
The Auto function is very interesting and can help you create spectacular solos with your fav octave pedal.
Be careful with the Effect Function that is sits at right volume it could drown out solos it you do not set it at the right level. Finally, I was hoping a for more “shimmer” to musically speak when using the Gliss **** on SuperEgo… Overall, you will find that is Super Toned Pedal brings Super Love to your board!
Not for everyone, but a must for ambient/soundscape players. Unlike some narrow niche pedals, this one doesn't get old. It can be used for subtle waves of color or take center stage as the primary tone. It says on my experimental board, but I wouldn't need this for straight ahead guitar tones.
