When will I get my refund?
Once your return is received by us, your refund will typically be processed within 10-15 business days. It typically takes a few business days for all credit card refunds to be processed and reflected on your statement. This means it will take a few extra days for your refund to show in your account after your return is processed. Store credit refunds will be given in the form of a e-gift card which will be available for immediate use after it is emailed to you. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. Return shipping must be paid by the buyer. If you received a defective or incorrect item, please see the next question.
What if I receive a defective or incorrect item?
If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, all the shipping fees will be covered by us and we will send you a replacement once the original item is received. If for any reason a replacement wont be available for a significant amount of time, we will issue you a store credit to use on another item. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.
Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways and charge a 20% restocking fee.
When must I ship my return?
Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date for store credit, or postmarked by 14 days for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within the deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.
Why was my package refused?
There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
This little guy is a must have beast!
I am a child of the 80's, and as such the sound of a chorused bass is forever burned into my memory and holds some sentimental value. I'm one of the few people I know who actually still use chorus at all, on both bass AND guitar. Call me old fashioned, I guess. I swore off pedals for my bass years ago, but recently started putting together an ampless pedalboard setup. If I'm going to have pedals anyway, what the heck? Might as well make one of them a chorus pedal! Especially since most of the playing I do these days is in church, where times of ambient, droning playing are prevalent. I needed something small, though, because I often take my small board. This Bass Clone isn't tiny, but it's small enough. Smaller than a Boss pedal, so it works for me. I tried a couple of other choruses (chori?, lol), which sounded okay. But when I plugged this baby in, what a difference! The chorus tone itself is lush and warm. Just like the Small Clone that I use on my electric guitar rig. The treble **** lets me dial out some of the high, fizzy swirliness, so the chorus sounds more "bassey" to me. But the bass **** is killer. It returns the low end that is often lost in the lush, swirly chorus sound. I don't need to turn the bass **** up much past 1:00 to have a thunderous chorus tone. Anything much past that and it boosts the low end into oblivion and could blow even the best speakers if you let it get out of control. But the key for me is the crossover switch. When engaged, it lets the lows stay much cleaner, so you don't lose the low end attack and foundation of your tone, but can still have the swirly, lush chorus on the higher stuff (say open D-string and above, give or take). The chorus is still there on the lower notes, but ever-so-subtly. It's a beautiful thing. Of course, if you want the full on, washed out chorus sound, just turn off the crossover switch. It all depends on what you want. It's a great pedal, and incredibly cheap for all that it gives you.
I tried the Bass Clone with both bass guitar and also compared the pedal to a Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble. Both pedals had different characters of chorus and I would classify the Ball Clone as having a more "throbbing" quality than the Boss pedal. I tried both bass and guitar with the X-Over switch both up and down and I think I prefer both with the switch in the down position but this switch does add additional versatility. I found the Bass control to have a large range when using bass and guitar while the Treble control seemed to have a higher degree of impact when using guitar. When setting the Rate and Depth controls at about the same positions on the Bass Clone and the CE-5 Chorus Ensemble the Bass Clone seemed to have a much stronger chorus sound. Overall an interesting addition and has a place when a specialized throbbing chorus sound is needed.
The pedal is quite clean and adds a very nice chorus sound to the bass, unlike other pedals geared to a guitar, this one delivers the chorus flare to the bass range, and the X-over helps even further...
I had originally had the pedal for about 2 weeks and it quit working but with EHX warranty it was fixed very fast, while the communications with them seem cold, they are fast turning it around and I have it back working...
Electro Harmonix Bass Clone Pedal: Great sounding pedal, adds shimmer to higher notes, thickness to lower notes. Not as overwhelming as a distortion pedal. I love it.
