With 9 presets that were finely tuned to emulate the most legendary organs from the ‘60s and beyond, the B9 Organ Machine will transform your guitar or keyboard. Control the instrument’s signature percussive click and sweet modulation. Blend your dry signal to create lush layers. Enough tonewheel and combo organ inspiration to light your fire and cook up some green onions!
Here are some tips on getting optimum performance from the B9 Organ Machine.
1. The B9 is best as the first pedal in an effects chain.
Place modulation delay and reverb effects after the B9.
The unit will not perform well if placed in the effects loop of a guitar amp.
2. The unit performs best using the bridge pickup of a guitar.
If a guitars pickup has a weak output, performance can be improved by putting a clean boost or a compressor in front of the B9.
It is not advised to place a distortion or overdrive in front of the B9.
This will muddy up the input signal and cause the tracking to be unstable.
If overdrive or distortion is desired it’s best to place it after the B9.
3. Some guitar amplifiers have a uneven peaky frequency response that may cause some sounds to be over accentuated.
A compressor in front or after the B9 can help smooth this out. This helps for a guitar player who’s playing is less than desirable in the dynamics department.
4. The B9 was designed to be used with a guitar.
The unit can be used with a bass guitar BUT the range the bass player can play will be limited.
The unit tracks best above the C note, third fret on the A string.
Below that performance is compromised and not recommended.
5. The top range using a guitar in standard tuning is the 23rd fret.
Above that the organ sound will not be heard.
6. Garbage in Garbage out.
The B9 tracks great and will follow what ever you play, but it is not a talent booster.
Sloppy guitar playing will sound like a sloppy organ player.
The B9 will bend notes just a regular guitar does.
Organs do not bend, so for a more authentic organ sound limit bending.

If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, all the shipping fees will be covered by us and we will give you a store-credit refund on the original order. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.
Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways.
When must I ship my return?
Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date for store credit, or postmarked by 14 days for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within the deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.
Why was my package refused?
There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
I bought the B9 from Prymaxe. I wanted to try it out and ended up buying the C9 too. These two pedals are amazing. I'll pick a tone and just play for hours. I keep the organ volume up and the dry volume off. I go total organ with no dry signal at all and I feel that these units track 99.99% if not 100% spot on. If I noticed any latency I would not have them in my arsenal of pedals. These B9 & C9 pedals are still here after playing with them all out during the Covid lockdown and now. I love the pedal it's like owning a cool organ without having 18 organs in your home. Cathedral is my favorite.
The quality of your tone is great from this Electro-Harmonix B9 pedal. The B9 gives you so many options for creating fresh sounds from your guitar. I am loving what the B9 has to offer, plus I picked up the C9 for Even more options. Both of them are similar but different, and either one will work, but I wanted even more choices. I put my dry signal to a minimum and control my sound with the wet signal control. So you hear 100% organ tones without my guitar sounds.
I got one of these through another site and tried out for several days without being able to find a nice full organ tone. I even changed the EQ settings on my amp to increase bass and cut the highs to no avail. None of the settings really sounded rich and full-bodied like an organ, but rather weak imitations. And changing the settings on my amp would defeat the purpose anyway, since I wouldn't be able to get the normal tones I like for guitar. Don't know what all the fuss is about regarding this pedal.
This pedal has amazing sounds, very natural organ sounds. Use your bridge humbucker. The only problem is dissonant notes like tritones intervals, the pedal will messy your notes not like a real organ normally does. Anyway, very fun!
