  • Pigtronix Infinity 2 Looper

Pigtronix Infinity 2 is a stereo looping pedal with two independent loops and a streamlined user interface that has been designed to provide an intuitive musical workflow, right out of the box.

The Infinity 2 enables musicians to seamlessly switch between parts, even during initial recording or while overdubbing. This Verse / Chorus type of workflow is further expanded by the ability to delete the loop that is not currently playing—freeing up an open slot for a new loop to be created, without interrupting playback.

Nearly all actions taken by the Infinity 2 occur at the loop boundary. This allows the musician to cue an overdub, switch between loops or stop precisely at the end of a loop, without having to worry about hitting the footswitch at precisely the correct time. Simply tell the machine what to do and it will occur at the end of the current loop. This is the general rule of thumb for all commands, with a few exceptions such as instant stop and fade out, which take place immediately when activated.

A small push-button switch, located above the left footswitch, allows the user to change the functionality of this footswitch to perform various Stop, Stutter and Octave Shift effects. A TRS remote jack allows these special features to be triggered by an external switch. Undo / Redo functionality can also be assigned to the left footswitch, allowing the musician to remove previous overdubs and add them back as desired.

In addition to a dedicated knob for loop Volume, the Infinity 2 also features a Decay knob that causes loop audio to fade out progressively during overdub. With the Decay knob set fully clockwise, the layers pile up at full volume. With the Decay knob set fully counter-clockwise, each overdub lasts for only one loop cycle. With the Decay knob set anywhere in-between those extremes, overdubbing on the Infinity 2 creates constantly evolving loop textures that can be instantly snapped back to a previous state using the Undo function.

The Infinity 2’s full-range, high-headroom audio inputs will accept mono or stereo instruments as well as line-level signals. The dual outputs of the Infinity 2 can be routed for stereo output with pass-through and loop audio mixed together, or they can be configured for discrete Wet / Dry operation—where the loop audio is summed to one output, and pass-through audio is sent to the other.

Infinity 2 combines the high-fidelity audio and ultra-low-latency looping engine of the original award-winning Pigtronix Infinity Looper, with a much smaller form factor and a user interface specifically designed to make looping fun and musical for everyone.

    FAQ

When will I get my refund?

Once your return is received by us, your refund will typically be processed within 10-15 business days. It typically takes a few business days for all credit card refunds to be processed and reflected on your statement. This means it will take a few extra days for your refund to show in your account after your return is processed. Store credit refunds will be given in the form of a e-gift card which will be available for immediate use after it is emailed to you. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. Return shipping must be paid by the buyer. If you received a defective or incorrect item, please see the next question.

What if I receive a defective or incorrect item?

If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, all the shipping fees will be covered by us and we will send you a replacement once the original item is received. If for any reason a replacement wont be available for a significant amount of time, we will issue you a store credit to use on another item. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.

Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways and charge a 20% restocking fee.

When must I ship my return?

Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date for store credit, or postmarked by 14 days for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within the deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.

What if I pre-ordered an item?

If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.

    Why was my package refused?

There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:

    • It was a new/demo item received outside of the 45-day window
    • It was a clearance, accessory, or other non-returnable item
    • The package is missing items that were included in the original shipment
    • The item shows signs of wear
    • The original product box was damaged or written on/the item was packaged in a separate shipping box

Pigtronix Infinity 2 Looper

Dual looper work well for creating song ideas

Under-rated - Awesome Little Pedal

I've read many reviews about the Pigtronix Infinity 2, including chatter about it on forums and Facebook groups. I noticed many have been rash reviews from people that don't fully understand it. Even I almost made the same mistake during the first few weeks of ownership. I wasn't liking it at first. But now, over a month later, I'm loving the little looper. The thing with these looper is, a lot of them get bad reviews. I'm talking about loopers from all the brands... specially ones with in-depth features like the Infinity 2. The reason is they are not particularly easy to master. They are not like a distortion pedal or a basic delay. You really have to get good at laying down perfectly timed loops. You also can't expect it to keep up with a band perfectly if not used correctly. You have to lay down near-perfect loops and the band needs to understand they they are working with a machine that does not have a midi-clock and does not quantize. They need to be mindful that it it's a machine and not a human. Also, even if you lay down a perfect loop, you are always going to be off by, say 2 milliseconds, for example. Every time that loop passes the beginning it's going to compound those 2 ms, 4ms, 8ms, 16ms, 32ms, until you notice it's off. That's just the nature of it. A band can easily compensate for that, but don't expect to sync another machine to it unless they are on the same clock, which the Infinity 2 cannot do.

Now, if you use it correctly and in the right context, it's an AMAZING tool for both practice and performance. The unit's playback sounds GREAT. The split out feature is awesome. Love that you can send the loop to one amp and your guitar's dry signal to another. Also, the sound on sound (decay) is an amazing feature that took me weeks to master. I didn't even understand it at first. But now that I know how to use it I can get lost for hours just playing with that feature. It makes for an awesome practice tool because you continue to evolve rathe than playing the same thing over and over again. The key is to lay down an initial loop that will determine the phrase length. Then, overdub and keep the overdub going. It'll continue to loop back on itself over the phrase length. As the initial phrase start fading away you stop your soloing or riffing and quickly do one pass to re-lay the original phrase, or a similar one. It has to fit the original phrase length. You can go on for hours morphing the original phrase as much as you'd like.

The feature of using the left button for other functions is also a gem that took me a while to really understand. In my opinion, the ONLY downside of the Infinity 2 is that as you cannot have a single tap stop, even with an external switch. It just wasn't designed that way. That's the only thing in my wish list. I wish I could just stop playback with one tap using an external switch.

If you are on the fence, for the price, I highly recommend the Infinity 2. Just keep in mind that the learning curve is longer than it seems. Yeah, I'm a young and techy guy. There is more depth to it than you think. Don't give up on it the first week. Like a good coffee, you'll grow to love it.

I bought mine from Prymaxe. In fact, it was my very first order from them. Been so happy that I've placed about 12 more orders after it.
