When will I get my refund?
Once your return is received by us, your refund will typically be processed within 10-15 business days. It typically takes a few business days for all credit card refunds to be processed and reflected on your statement. This means it will take a few extra days for your refund to show in your account after your return is processed. Store credit refunds will be given in the form of a e-gift card which will be available for immediate use after it is emailed to you. Please note: All actual shipping fees paid by Prymaxe will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that qualified for free or subsidized shipping. Return shipping must be paid by the buyer. If you received a defective or incorrect item, please see the next question.
What if I receive a defective or incorrect item?
If a product is defective upon arrival, or the wrong item was received, all the shipping fees will be covered by us and we will send you a replacement once the original item is received. If for any reason a replacement wont be available for a significant amount of time, we will issue you a store credit to use on another item. For defective items, Prymaxe reserves the right to refuse the return if we determine the reason for the unit failing was not covered under the warranty (i.e., if the item was damaged due to user fault or error). If you feel your item was damaged in shipping, please take plenty of pictures of the damaged box and item and immediately contact us so we can open a claim with the shipping company.
Please be very diligent with testing your defective item. Be sure to try other guitars, power supplies, cables, and amps. We also request that you take a video of the item not working. If we receive your item, test it, and find it to be working, we will give you a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways and charge a 20% restocking fee.
When must I ship my return?
Your return must be received by us within 45 days of the original purchase date for store credit, or postmarked by 14 days for a refund to the original purchase method (PayPal, credit card, etc). This means you must ship your return with enough time for us to receive the package within the deadline. If it does not arrive within 45 days, we will refuse the package. If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.
Why was my package refused?
There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
Pro musician here, mostly working in the studio recently. I love tube amps, my main amp is a Carvin Legacy 3.
The Simplifier Dlx has a lot of features, I'm not going too deep on that, you can always read the manual for that, I will share a little bit of my experience using it in a pro environment.
I can say that this can deliver if your first concern is getting the job done with a lot of convenience, but the sound is not the best because it lacks that "bloom" or sag characteristic of a tube amplifier, instead you will have a very hard attack of the notes, this can be partially mitigated bypassing its preamp and using an external one via the effects loop return, but still is a very artificial sound, very "DI-ish"
So depending on your needs, this may solve a lot of needs, but if you are looking for a true tube amp response, it's not here, not even with pedals, or external preamps.
Good for carrying it in your backpack, silent practice, travel, etc.
Not so good for recording or having the best tone and response.
Five stars for convenience, two and a half for sound.
I would recommend the Synergy platform instead. it's more expensive, less featured but sounds a lot better with true tube design.
The DLX version of the Simplifier takes everything great about the first version and turns it up to 11. Even more flexible like being able to use your own preamp stage instead of theirs but still use the Cab and power amp sims, easier to integrate into an amp setup when not wanting to go direct or use with headphones, parallel or amp channel switching options, decent reverb, improved FX loop and so much more. They really took this product to the next level. I do still laugh a bit they call it the Simplifier with all the **** and options it has, but whatever. I have had the ACS1 and have seen a comparison video with the Iridium that matches my ACS1 experience. Analog does make a difference. It responds more like a areal amp and has a better dynamic range and touch response IMHO.
Great Preamp. To me the Best Preamp out there and I’ve had Many. Like Having a Amps and Cabs on on your Pedalboard. 5 stars all the Way.
I expected this to be great, I really like the Simplifier classic, and this has 2 essentially & the ability to actually have real gain. But I can’t get gain past 9 o’clock (even on the “clean” setting without it creating some very unpleasant artifacts if you play with any kind of attack. The crunch & lead settings are completely in useable as a result of this, so why even have them??? How all these people on YouTube have eliminated this very annoying noise is beyond me, but clearly they’re lying to us in post. Also… it’s $459 and the box is PLASTIC!!!
I have been able to get sounds I like, but it took a TON of fiddling. It would have been better if they literally just put 2 of the original in the box it would be far better. There’s no point in having gain options you can’t even use.
