The SLO Multi Texture Reverb allows players to create lush, modulated, sleepy and ambient soundscapes. Stocked with three different algorithms specifically designed to invoke textures for bringing dreams from your subconscious to reality.
The toggle switch allows three different reverb modes, Dark (Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell) and Dream (Latching Pad), while secondary functions on the switch change between different wave shapes for the modulation on the reverb trail.
Combine rich modulation with the depth knob along with long washy trails and experience, the Slö.
DARK – Add a lower octave to your reverb trail. Here you'll create deep and wide atmospheric sounds and channel nightmarish soundscapes. X knob sets the level of a -1 octave signal that feeds the reverb.
RISE – This is an auto-swell reverb for beautiful cinematic swells. Don't rush it. Let it breathe and gently wake up. X knob sets the amount of time it takes the reverb to swell in after a note is played. Set lower for shorter rise times and higher for longer rise times.
DREAM – Here is a lush reverb with a latching pad function. Press the sustain switch to latch signal. Experiment with the X knob to add vibrato over the pad. Press sustain again and pad will decrescendo according to where decay knob is set. X knob sets the depth of vibrato applied to the reverb trail.
The SLO also features 3 different wave shapes accessible by holding down bypass while switching the algorithm toggle.
SINE – Smooth and even pitch up and down modulation.
WARP – Asymmetric pitch up modulation similar to a warped record.
SINK – Asymmetric pitch down modulation for sinking detune similar to a Bigsby.
Bypass: When the switch is in off position, press and hold to temporarily activate the effect to add a moment of reverb texture. Releasing the switch turns the effect off, and fades it out.
Sustain: When pressed, the decay switch ramps up the reverb trail to maximum creating long dreamy reverb trail and then ramps back down to the decay knob setting when released. In the “Dream” algorithm, the sustain switch is latching. Press it once to capture and sustain the current reverb decay for extremely long pad-like sounds. Press it again to let the reverb trail taper off, based on the position of the decay knob.
To turn trails mode on or off, unplug the pedal and press and hold down the Bypass Switch for two seconds while plugging the pedal back in.

If you feel you sent the package within a reasonable time frame, but it arrived late due to the shipping company’s error, please immediately contact us to make an appeal before we refuse the package.
What if I pre-ordered an item?
If a pre-ordered item arrives outside of the 45 day window from when you ordered it, you will have 7 days from the arrival date to send it back for store credit.
Why was my package refused?
There are a number of reasons your package could be refused by us, including:
I bought SLO to add ambience to my board. I play generally with clean tone and I aspire to play folk-jazz in the style of Bill Frisell.
The way I use SLO is by combining it with Walrus Monument tremolo (after SLO) and another (non-ambient reverb as last effect in the chain. I do it because I want to have another reverb to handle non ambient passages and reserve SLO for ambient passages - when it is used with higher values of the parameters. I set Monument for harmonic tremolo with moderate depth to get nice perceivable but not overwhelming pulse over the long passages from SLO. I did not yet work in the modulation from SLO but I am in general not a huge fan of vibrato so I prefer Monument tremolo for modulation.
SLO can of course be used as the sole reverb but then you have to manually increase the parameters and I believe that SLO has some "sweet spots" so it is better to leave it set for ambience and use another reverb for non-ambient passages.
It is not round-of-the-mill reverb and you should spend some time experimenting with it. Make sure Mix is close to 2 o'clock position. - that is 50/50 mix - too much Mix will turn down dry signal. Tone control is low-pass filter type - so open it wide if you want brightness. Dark mode is pretty much self explanatory - if you set X down you get a regular reverb. Rise mode may require a combination of Decay and X set right to work. Also in this mode there is a gate so make sure you hit the reverb with enough signal or else the notes will not get through. Dream mode is quite excellent with the Sustain latching on the last not played. Observe that if Decay is set below 12 o'clock then notes played will be added to sustained note - this allows make the effect really dreamy ;-) Before you press Sustain again make sure you dime Decays for smooth fade-out.
It definitely is not one of those "giant crystal cave" type of reverb. And it requires a bit of experimentation when you add it to your chain to find some settings that you like. If you spend some time with it becomes an inspiring and musical "special ingredient" to add to your board.
Great pairing with the Fathom in multi-reverb setup. This should come after other reverbs, as this gives you a nice, final, dreamy wash. There's a good reason this is one of the most well-known ambient reverb pedals. Hard to get an unpleasant sound out of it. Beautiful color paint job. There are an overwhelming number of reverbs out there, but this is a must-have, especially if you don't really have space for the giant Strymon units or other pedalboard behemoths.
not sure why i didnt try this sooner, but it is amazing dreamy with lots of versatile controls and options
It'll be hard to compare much to a Strymon Big Sky, but if you're looking for only the ambient sound, the Slo will definitely get you there for a much easier price. I especially like the "Freeze" option where you can hold a chord and play on top of it (though, this is only for one of the settings). There's enough tweakability to spend days on end with this thing and have a lot of fun. I was skeptical at first, but I love this thing.
Adds a beautiful texture to both a clean and dirty sound.
